IT Forensics Expert

Job Description:

The IT Forensics Expert is responsible for conducting forensic investigations of computer systems, networks and databases to identify and analyze evidence. The primary duties include conducting digital evidence analysis, extracting digital evidence, developing investigative strategies, and preparing reports of findings. The IT Forensics Expert will need to be knowledgeable of digital forensic procedures and will be expected to keep up to date on the latest digital forensic techniques.

Experience:

·         Experience conducting digital forensic investigations

·         Knowledge of computer security, network security, system analysis, and data recovery

·         Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems

·         Familiarity with computer forensics and analysis techniques

·         Proven ability to analyze and present complex data

·         Knowledge of applicable laws related to digital forensics

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

·         5+ years of experience in digital forensics

·         Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) or related certification preferred

·         Knowledge of EnCase, FTK, and other forensic analysis tools

·         Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Java, and Python

·         Familiarity with Linux
